Call to Order: 7:30 pm by outgoing President Marilyn Pearson
Agenda: Presented by incoming President Mike Is Isko
Treasurer’s Report: submitted by Marilyn Pearson for Jack Fede: Monies are holding steady. Accepted by members present.
Secretary’s Report: presented by Eva Tyburski: Officers Slate read and affirmed. Officers are: President- Mike Isko, Vice President- Mike Brown, Secretary- Eva Tyburski, Treasurer- Jack Fede.
Membership Report: presented by Mike Brown: Registration will be possible online by the next meeting. Members may continue to pay by check if so inclined. There are approximately 185 members.
CSC Update: State races have not yet been finalized.
Old Business: Review of activities that took place this year included hiking, picnics, kayaking, biking, golf tournament and cross-country skiing.
New Business:
Racing: This is the 50th Anniversary of Racing for NSC. Ron is in charge of Racing activities. Registration will be available online until noon each Monday.
The upstairs at the lodge will be open for adults.
There will be special prices for both light beers and IPAs & a Pizza Truck available. Seniors will race first this year.
Bulk Tickets: Pam Bateman reported Killington & Pico tickets are available. Bromley will send refunds for any leftover tickets.
Member Recruitment: Suggestions for recruiting new members to the Club included recruiting ski instructors at Mount Southington, broadening activities to include more year-round activities beyond our usual activities such as cornhole, pickleball, biking for novices or those interested in slow rides, Plays at Ivoryton or Goodspeed, Yard Goats, Wolf Pack, Warren Miller film.
Fall/Winter Events:
September 21,2022. Joint excursion to Alvarium Brewing in New Britain with Mount Laurel Ski Club.
Open House at a brewery-TBD Holiday Party on January 21,2023. Buddy Days-TBD
Members are encouraged to use Facebook or other social media to invite other members to ski with you.
Soup, Stew & Chili Night-TBD-funds to benefit the Club or another non-profit.
Next Meeting: October 5th. Board Meeting at 6:00 pm. General Meeting at 7:00 pm.
