Call to Order: 7:08 pm by President Mike Isko

Treasurer’s Report: full report will be submitted at a later date.
Secretary’s Report: presented, accepted, and seconded by members present.
Membership Report: stickers have been mailed to those who have paid their membership fees.
CSC Update: See the website for events and prices. There are discounts for Catamount and Berkshire East.
Old Business:
Paypal is now working on our website. People are beginning to sign up.
Soup, Stew and Chili Night: proceeds will be donated to CT Big Brothers/Big Sisters-CT Bigs.org. The goal is to provide the children with free ski days for skiing and socialization. Play it Again Sports will donate proceeds from sale of ski equipment brought in to the organization.
Discussion of the date took place. A weekday in April was suggested. Newington Fire House was discussed as a possible venue site. Donation by our members to Play it Again Sports of gently used, not obsolete ski gear/clothing was discussed.
New Business:
Goals: Mike Isko asks members to let him know what they would like to see as club goals. Buddy Trips: The goal of these trips would be not just racing but recreation, food and socialization. Volunteers are requested to organize these trips.
Open House: Since it is so late now it was suggested that it be postponed until fall of 2023. A committee must be formed to plan the event.
Future activities: Volunteers are needed to plan future activities such as trail biking, hiking and kayaking. Locations, challenges involved, amenities, locations which include parking and ease of boat access, food and socialization are all important considerations.
Publicity: Discussion regarding the different venues of publicity took place. Contact Mike Isko regarding press releases if you know of a venue that might accept a press release regarding NSC events.
Calendar of Events is as follows:
CSC auction is continuing until 12/10. Contact CSC for information.
Ski Racing begins 12/19. It is the 50th anniversary year. There will be a raffle each Monday. A shirt will be given to each person who races three times in the season. There will be pizza and beer which will be less expensive this year. Contact people are Ron and Glenn.
Buddy trip to Catamount: 1.08.23 Contact Mike Isko for information.
Holiday Party: Ted Rogala is the host for the Holiday Party at J. Timothy’s on January 21,2023. NSC will be subsiding a portion of the cost of food.
Interclub Racing. 2.11.23. A one-day event that includes 2 runs.
