NEWINGTON SKI CLUB MINUTES
December 20, 2018
Indian Hill Country Club
Meeting called to order by President, Ted Rogala at 7:40 pm.
Secretary’s Report: Accepted
Treasurer’s Report: Was given by Carol and accepted.
Membership: Jack reported that we have 331 members. Jack also stated membership is running about 12% behind from last year.
State GS Race – Thursday, January 17 at Mount Southington.
Christmas/Holiday Party – Thursday, January 17 at Indian Hill Country Club. Price is $35 per person. Bring a grab bag. Something you have laying around the house.
Cross Country Day at Maple Corner Farm in Massachusetts on January 19th, rain date January 26. Contact Pam and/or Marilyn if you are interested.
Hike at Sessions Woods: Paul will be doing a hike at Sessions Woods in Burlington, CT, on January 20, beginning at 10:00 am.
Club Day: Club Day will be at Catamount on January 26 and split the cost with Danbury Ski Club. $300 for the course and lift ticket is $45.
Kids Day: January 27, 2019 at Mount Southington. Free to all kids on CT Ski Council. Forms need to be in by January 21. Ages 5 – 18.
Soup, Stew & Chili night will be February 7, 2019 at Indian Hill Country Club.
State Slalom Race is February 13 at Mount Southington.
CSC CT Senior Games: February 26, 2019 at Ski Sundown
On-Snow: March 1-3, 2019 at Mount Snow. Find lodging information on the CSC website.
Sugarloaf Trip: Dates are March 10 -19, 2019. John reported 46 people signed up.
CSC News -Snowball: It was reported that the Snowball made $3900-$4000.
New Business: We discussed looking into having speakers come in to our meetings.
Tonight’s 50/50 Raffle Winner: George is the winner $13 !
