NEWINGTON SKI CLUB MINUTES
February 21, 2019
Indian Hill Country Club
Meeting called to order by President, Ted Rogala at 7:35 pm.
Secretary’s Report: Andrea submitted the secretary’s report and the minutes were then accepted.
Monday Night Racing Pizza Night: next Monday is last night to racing.
Club Day was held at Catamount on January 26. Approximately 25 to 30 people participated. Peter Knaus and Marilyn Pearson were club winners. A big thank you to Vickie Putnam, Jon’s wife for doing the food shopping!!
Kids Day: January 27, 2019 at Mount Southington. There were 200 participants. It was a very successful event.
Soup, Stew & Chili night held on February 7, 2019 at Indian Hill Country Club. $1035 was collected for Skiers Unlimited. Good food and lots of fun was held by all.
CSC CT Senior Games: canceled for lack of participation.
On-Snow: March 1-3, 2019 at Mount Snow. No bulk tickets for On Snow. See the CT Ski Council site for additional information on lodging and event and racing schedules. You much have your ski club membership card with you.
Sugarloaf Trip: Dates are March 10 -19, 2019. John reported 50 people signed up.
Ski Tickets: Be sure to use all your Okemo ski tickets.
New Business – Tuckerman’s date is set for April 6, 7 & 8. Everyone is on there own for whatever activity they choose to do. And for making your own accommodations.
Tonight’s 50/50 Raffle Winner: Jon Putman was our raffle winner for tonight with a pot of $7! Glenn Johnson won the goodie bag.
